Mia Wins Dress Up Contest

Wednesdays are dress up day at Camp and I ALWAYS forget! But we actually remembered this week. And since the theme was Studio/Movie Week then Mia dressed up as a movie star or a "Hollywood girl" as she called it. They have a contest for all the campers who come dressed up...

She spent the whole evening before getting her outfit and accessories together (this was ALL HER)...

And she won the contest:) She was SO excited! She got to go up on stage and tell what she was dressed up like. And for winning, she got to pick out a prize:

She made several phone calls after camp to tell about winning the contest. And then spent the rest of the day telling everyone she saw about it too:)

It's the little things...

Splash Pad

We went to the Gardendale Splash Pad for the first time Friday. It was SUPER hot, so a perfect day for playing in the water. I will definitely wear my swimsuit next time because I was boiling hot just sitting and watching...But the girls had a lot of fun playing with their friends, Michelle and Isabelle.

Mia didn't want to get her hair or eyes wet:)

Averi on the other hand got completely drenched without thinking twice about it!

Sweet Isabelle...such a cutie!

Mia dancing her way through the water fall:) Her looks-like-a-tutu swimsuit was perfect!

We will definitely go back, but not until school is back in session. A couple daycare groups came after we were there about an hour and took over the entire place.

Life Update

*So life has been crazy. We are either always at work/camp, church, or working on our house.

*We are all set for the girls to go to Shades Mountain for school next year. It will be a lot of fun having them both there with me. Averi will be going to K-3 the 3 mornings I work, and Mia will go all 5 mornings to Kindergarten.

*I just registered Averi for gymnastics. This will be her first extracurricular activity so she is VERY excited. She asks me daily when it begins:) And I also just registered Mia for her first season of soccer. Jon (with a little help from me) will be coaching her team. It should be lots of fun. I am so glad to see she has taken an interest in it. She may change her mind when she gets "hot and sweaty" but I think she just wants to try it because she's been around it since she was like a week old...literally:)

*We are taking our soccer team to Pigeon Forge the week after next for team camp. I'm looking forward to it. We did the beach last year, but thought we would change it up a little this year. So we are renting a big cabin with a hot tub, pool etc. in the mountains. We are also going white water rafting. It will be this teams last season as most of the girls graduate at the end of the year. It will be hard for me when this season is over as we have coached most of them since they were 11 or 12 years old.

*We just celebrated our 9th anniversary this week. We went out to dinner and a movie and had a great time celebrating...I can't believe it's been 9 years already, but they have all been amazing and I look forward to many, many more!

*As far as another baby goes...we are still waiting and praying for God's provision in that. I'm just remembering that He has a perfect plan. We are discussing/praying about me going to see a specialist...That is my OB's recommendation as he as given me all the advice he knows to give regarding recurrent miscarriages. So please be in prayer with us as we make a decision about that.

And that's about it for now...

Celebrating the Fourth

I am a little late posting but here are a few pictures from our 4th of July...

We went out to eat barbecue at Full Moon with Jay, Jeanna and Parker.

Trying to get a picture with all three kids was interesting:)

Then we headed to our favorite spot to watch fireworks. A soccer field in the middle of Homewood...We went early and just hung out playing ball and visiting with friends
