Averi - 4 Months

Averi just turned 4 months this past Saturday. She had her 4-month checkup today. Here are her stats:

Weight: 13 lbs. 2oz. (35th percentile)
Heighth: 26 1/2 in. (97th percentile)

She is so long and skinny right now:) It's hilarious because she already fits into some 6-9 months clothes (lengthwise) but everything is baggy on her. So far at 4 months she has accomplished: rolling both ways, cooing/talking, laughing, holding toys, grabbing feet, and bringing a lot of joy and happiness to our family. Please pray for her as she continues to struggle with a lot of constipation and acid reflux (I know you could never tell it from the pictures). The pediatrician wants her to start on solids this month so we are hoping and praying that in the next few months these things will begin to get better.

Averi

Averi will be 4 months old next week. She is such a sweet and calm baby. She loves to just sit and watch Mia play and she smiles all the time. Her and I are battling right now over her wanting to suck her thumb. I am trying so hard to win this one! It's really cute right now but I know how hard it is to break later on. If I put her paci in she usually spits it right out and blows bubbles and then smiles at me. Then when I go in to check on her later she is sucking that thumb. Unreal!

Mia

Mia justed turned 2 in May. She is talking LOTS and it is so funny to hear her try to put her sentences together. She is a very expressive child. We just potty trained her a few weeks ago and she feels the need to tell the whole world about it. As a matter of fact, she told the young man who was checking us out at Food World the other night "I pee pee potty"! He said "what did she just say?" I was so embarrassed!!! I had to explain to him (as I turned 10 different shades of red) that she just potty trained and was very proud of herself and wants everyone to know it. You never know what is going to come out of a 2 year old's mouth:)

She's also really into dressing up and doing everything by herself. As you can see she loves to put her own shoes on. It's fun to watch her learn, although quite frustrating when I'm in a hurry:)

Our 6 Year Anniversary

Jon and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary last Friday (July 13th). I can't believe it's already been six years. It has already been such an incredible journey and God has really blessed our lives and our family with 2 precious little girls, Mia and Averi.
