So I am finally on the mend...Thanks to all of you who have been praying. We have survived! The fact that I had my wisdom teeth removed would not have been as big of a deal if we did not have 2 small children, but when you throw a 2 1/2 yr. old and 10 month old (with a fever & terrible cough) in to the mix it always makes for quite an adventure:) The good news is I did not throw up during or right after my surgery however stupid me took a Darvocet on an empty stomach in the middle of the night Friday which resulted in throwing up 3 times. I will NEVER do that again! Thankfully it was only a minor setback though and the Phenergan pretty much knocked me out the whole next day. I have had a lot of swelling and pain on the left side because the lower tooth was impacted so he had to cut pretty deep but it looks like the swelling is a little less each day.
Jon has been such a phenomenal help! He really did a great job juggling a sick wife and 2 little girls. He even got up with a sick Averi during the night and each morning when she woke up at the crack of dawn to give her a bottle and play with her. He decided to take today off since I was not completely up to par and ready to take care of myself and the girls all day alone. His mom is off tomorrow and will be keeping Mia for the day. And so far no dry sockets, PTL!!! If I can get through another day or two I should be in the clear.
Quick funny story about the Mia drama during the weekend. The day I got my teeth cut out Mia came walking in to my room and saw me laying on the bed with my eyes closed. Now she NEVER sees me asleep or really even laying down so it totally freaked her out. And I open my eyes just in time to see her running out of my room screaming & crying "aahhh mommy's not talking"!!! I swear she thought I was dead. SO hilarious!
Again thanks for all your prayers...

A Much Needed Getaway...
Jon and I had a wonderful little getaway over the weekend. The cabin was so adorable and very cozy (if you like that kind of thing, which we do). We mostly just relaxed but we spent several hours on Saturday hiking and climbing around Horse Pens 40 and the ranch where we were staying. It reminded me of our days before little ones (which of course I wouldn't change for anything) but we did used to do a lot of that kind of thing before Mia was born. We were talking about how we really look forward to the days when they get a little older and will be able to do these activities with us. But for now they are at such cute ages so we are enjoying the stages they are in (at least most of the time:)). Jon and I both really love photography and got some great pictures so here are a few of the best ones...

What's Going on These Days...
So our lives are about to get really busy again. We are coaching 2 soccer teams again this season. We just picked up a U-12 girls competitive team and then our older 2 teams will be combined in to 1 team since some of them play for their high schools in the spring. We are looking forward to working with the new team and just hope to have as great of an experience as we've had with our other teams.
Jon and I are going to a cabin for the night on Friday (for Valentine's) which I am so looking forward to. We have not had a night away and alone since Averi was born almost a year ago and probably a while before that. The cabin is about an hour away so not too far but far enough:)
Please pray for me (and my family) as I am having my wisdom teeth cut out next Friday (Feb 22). I am truly panicking about it. I seriously would rather have a baby than have this surgery done but I have put it off long enough:) I just hate having things done in my mouth. The other thing I am dreading is that I always end up getting really sick and throwing up for like 2 days after I get surgery. My body is just weird like that and it's the way it reacts to pain and anesthesia. Mia is going to be so devastated:( She freaks out even if I say I don't feel good or lay on the couch she starts crying and says "mommy not be sick". She is SUCH a mercy! Jon, my mom and his mom will be taking care of the girls. I know they'll do a good job...
Adios for now...Thanks for praying!
