I love these girls!

God has really been teaching me lately to learn to be content with where he has me at this moment...which right now is home with these precious little girls. I have learned over the years from talking to people and listening to others desires that we always want to be doing what we're not doing. The girls who are working want to be at home with a baby. The moms who are at home with their children all day want a break and time with other adults. And self admittingly I have really struggled with that lately. I am an incredibly social person and love to be with other people. So there are days (especially with this gloomy & cold weather lately) where I wish I could have a break or have a job just for a few hours to have that interaction. Yet I personally have a strong belief that what God has chosen for our family is for Jon & I to be the number one caregivers to our girls. So I am learning to grasp that wholeheartedly and realize that these precious girls are my number one most important job right now. And to that I say "thank you God for giving me the best opportunity ever"! I love them with all my heart!

Let it SNOW!!!

So we actually got about an inch of snow yesterday here in Birmingham, Alabama. I am posting a few pictures of Mia playing in the snow for her first time ever. She LOVED the snow and was so sad when it melted. Her favorite thing to do was to eat it:)

Just a few pictures...

Mia modeling her "princess dress" from Nana

Averi's hairdo by Mia:)
(They were playing in Mia's room while I was getting ready and Mia had found some lotion and decided to rub a big goop of it in Averi's hair and "fix it". It looked like a big rooster tail and took a while for me to get it to lay flat again but Mia was so proud of herself)

Enjoying the Warm Weather in January

The weather was warm and wonderful this week so we spent Monday morning at the zoo and Tuesday at the park with some friends. Mia wanted to bring her new doll Emily to the zoo with us. She wanted Emily to see everything and was explaining to her what every animal was and what sounds they make etc. Averi was waving to all the animals which was so adorable too. Here our just a few pictures of the girls at the zoo...

These pictures are of Averi and her buddy Carson and Mia and her buddy Connor playing at the park:
