Carpet & Fixtures
Our bedroom is completely finished now. Here it is post-carpet installation...

Here is our half-bath on the main floor...kind of a deep purple and I love it!

This is what our hardwoods look like...still a LONG way to go on those but I like the way they are looking so far...

We replaced about 90% of the fixtures they had. They were mostly brass which we aren't big fans of, plus they looked old and outdated. These look SO much better...

We are also putting new fans in all the rooms...

Here is our dining room, kind of a mustard yellow. We have a dark brown dining table that I think will look great with this color.

Here is Mia's room with carpet...

The girls are enjoying playing in their new rooms...

Sassy Mia posing with her dress up outfit on...

And playing outside...

This picture cracks me up...

I finished painting the bathroom cabinet doors today. They look SO much better. I will post before/after pictures once they dry and I hang them. My dad & I are going to install the tile in our bathrooms upstairs hopefully at the end of this week. More pictures to come soon...

More On The House
I was hoping to have more pictures to post today, but I forgot to take my camera with me to the house today. I will try to remember to take it over tomorrow. Anyways, we had our carpet installed in the bedrooms this week which is SO nice and makes them feel like fresh, brand new rooms.
We let the girls go over to the house with us this morning to play while we worked. I brought their dollhouse, some dolls, and a little tent and they had SO much fun playing in their new CLEAN bedrooms. This was expecially exciting to Mia who can't stand dirt of any kind. She would hardly walk inside the house at all before and never without plugging her nose:) So I went to Bath & Body Works and got some of those plug-ins and between those and fresh paint and new carpet it smells MUCH better, and she finally approves. Averi couldn't care less and has never once noticed or mentioned the smell:)
We are now working on painting the cabinets in the bathrooms. Then we will work on the bathroom tile next. I sure am learning how to do a lot through this whole process:)
We ordered our new stainless steel appliances this week which I am SO excited about. We have to wait until the hardwoods are completed in the kitchen to install everything, but I can't wait. I have always wanted a side by side fridge and stainless steel, so I am thrilled about it.
The most frustrating thing to me the last few weeks has been the chaos! I like to have organization and since I am putting all my energy into working on the new house, I get frustrated coming home to our current house and feeling like it's a mess but I don't have my usual energy to feel like cleaning it much. But the upcoming move is giving me a chance to go through and get rid of things or reorganize and in a few weeks we will have a beautiful new house. I have to keep a positive attitude at all times, or I would have given up on day 1 for sure:)
P.S. Sorry for all the house posts, but it's pretty much the only thing going on in our lives right now:)

The Progress Continues...
We are actually almost done with the painting on the top 2 floors! Hooray! My mom & I have been working hard at painting, while my dad has patched up all the holes in the walls, and Jon has been our demolition guy ripping out floors, cabinets, chair rail etc. The 4 of us have made a great team. We have also had several friends come over to help us paint which has been such a blessing.
Jon & a friend from church are starting on the hardwood floors today. We have no way to gage how long those will take to get in since we are doing them ourselves (with the help of a couple guys), but once they are completed, we will be at a point where we can move in and finish everything else once we are in the house...

The Work Has Begun!
We are in the throws of remodeling our new house. We have painted almost the whole top floor (except our bathroom). Jon has ripped up the carpet in the bedrooms and they will be installing new carpet within the next week. We start painting on the main floor at the end of the week. Here are a few pictures of what's currently going on with it...

We painted our bedroom red, and I actually love it. It's a really pretty color in person:)

Here is Av's room. I love the color, but she was less than thrilled with it, so we will be putting flowers below this picture on the walls:)

Here are the flowers that will be on her wall...

Since I took these pictures, we have painted the stairwell a neutral tan color...

We will be painting the living room at the end of the week. It's going to be a silvery gray...

The girls just love playing in our new yard...

Please keep us in your prayers over the next few weeks as we are tired and have a good bit of work left on the house, but we are excited about it and that's what is keeping us going right now. We will be moving first of to mid-May (God-willing)...

Easter
We had a wonderful Easter. We had an awesome service, then came home for the girls to have a nap. After that we headed over to our new house for the egg hunt since that yard is MUCH bigger. We then went out to eat at Applebee's for dinner.
Here's a few family pictures....
