Ice/Snow Galore

So, I am WAY over all the cold weather, snow and ice. I grew up in PNG with 70-80 degree weather year round and that is certainly my preference:) But...my girls have REALLY enjoyed playing in the snow. And for that reason I am happy that we had some these last few weeks.

Fun at Alabama Gymnastics

We took the girls to an Alabama gymnastics meet last weekend. This was Averi's first time to go and Mia's second. We had a great time.

Mia danced and danced and danced hoping she would win a prize:) I was literally praying they would get her on camera. But I think we were sitting up too high. She still enjoyed it despite not winning a prize...

Averi really enjoyed it too and was actually watching the events. She has been taking gymnastics this year so that helped spark her interest...

Jon's Birthday Trip to Atlanta

I took Jon to Atlanta for a little mini trip to celebrate his birthday. It was fun to get away for a couple days after the crazy last few months we've had.

We went to dinner with Jon's dad and stepmom at our favorite Cuban restaurant Coco Loco's

We stayed in a great hotel in downtown Atlanta

Christmas in Review

We had a FANTASTIC Christmas! One of our best for sure. The girls are at the best ages. They get so excited about everything and were able to go without a nap which meant we didn't have to rush home from my parents like usual. And it was great being in our new house and of course the snow made it feel even more like Christmas. Here are some pictures of our day...

They were SO excited about the trampoline. Too bad it was sleeting when we revealed it. But they jumped for a few minutes and have jumped on it every day since...
