CAUGHT!

This is what I caught Averi doing while I was on the phone...getting into daddy's cookies that were on his nightstand. Which is why I rarely talk on the phone when she is awake:)

She took them all apart and licked the peanut butter off:) And what does she do when she sees me? Flashes her big blue eyes, smiles and sweetly says "no no"...

This child loves to dress up! If we are home, she's in dress up clothes...

Painting Pumpkins

We had our Painting Pumpkins event with our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group today and it was so much fun. Mia was really into it. Averi did okay for the most part. Although she painted all over her eye (which you can still see some of the purple in 1 of the pics even after I wiped it off) and clothes and everything else. But we had a great time and got to meet some of the new MOPS moms for the year. I decided to buy plastic pumpkins at Michaels this time so that we can save these. Last year we used real ones and they rotted after a couple of weeks. Anyways, here are a few pictures....

Just a sidenote, notice how much taller Sara Kate is than Mia. She is only 6 weeks older:) And btw, I acidentally put Av's pants on Mia this morning and they fit her (size 18 mos.)!!! So crazy...I didn't even notice until halfway through the morning.

And just for fun here's a picture of us at Painting Pumpkins last year. It's amazing how much the girls have changed in a year...

A Fun Morning

We went to see Jon at work this morning then I took the girls to B&N to play with the trains. They love to do this! Then we had a nice lunch outside in the beautiful fall weather at Panera. I am really enjoying the ages my girls are at right now. Mia says the funniest things and Averi is such a little ham. She is so cute yet so "naughty/mischevious" at the same time.

While we were at B&N Mia had this sad/troubled look on her face and when I asked her what was wrong she said "I don't know what to do, Averi keeps following me everywhere I go":) You can tell from the pictures that what she said is exactly right. Av is her little shadow. And Mia likes for things to be very straight (even her trains or other toys when she's playing) and Averi has a strong need to destruct things! It's pretty funny to observe.

Cute New Shoes

Jon bought these pink Converse All Stars for Mia and she just thinks they are the best thing ever. Especially since daddy got them for her:)

Goals

Because we have been so busy traveling with soccer lately, I feel like I have been neglecting certain areas in my "normal" life. Therefore I am setting a few goals for myself and plan to start working really hard on them:

*Start working out at least 3 times a week (other than chasing kids). Not trying to lose weight, just get healthy!

*Spend at least one morning or afternoon cleaning my house per week.

*Clean out my car once a week.

*Organize closets and drawers.

*Organize paperwork, bills etc.

*Buy clothes for the fall and put away spring and summer clothes.

Now I'm off to see if I can get something done:)

Our Trip

We arrived home from New Orleans lastnight. We had a great time and I am really glad we decided to stay the extra day to see the downtown area. We got to do the main 3 things I wanted to do which was go to the Riverwalk (a huge mall located on the river), eat Beignets (which we had twice and they are to die for), and take Mia on a ride in the horse and carriage in Jackson Square at the French Quarter. She loved it and she took her little Cinderella's with her on the ride:) She was SO good the entire time. Never complained once in the 5 hr. car ride there or back and she LOVED the "O-tel" (hotel). They messed up our reservation so we got bumped up to a 2BR/2BA suite. She thought it was so fun to have her own room and we definitely liked not having to be super quiet after she was in the bed too:)

She bought Averi a little Minnie Mouse at the Disney store and asked the lady if she could have a Cinderella bag. So here she is proudly carrying it:)

Eating Beignets at Cafe Du Monde

You could definitely say that Mia liked them:)

Concert

We went to the Switchfoot/Third Day/Jars of Clay/Robert Randolph concert and it was SO AWESOME! We invited our good friends Kevin and Lauren to go with us and we all had such a blast. The concert lasted over 4 hours and it was a great experience. Switchfoot was definitely my favorite but I enjoyed the whole thing...

Third Day

Now I'm off to pack for our trip to New Orleans. Please pray for our safety and for Averi as we are away from her for 3 days...

Many Blessings...

As I talked about before, we just had to spend over $500 to get Jon's car fixed 2 weeks ago. So I was pretty discouraged when my car started having problems last week. It was amazing to how God provided. First of all Jon's mom let us use her AAA to get it towed to the shop since it was completely dead. We had it towed to The Garage and they were able to tell us what they thought the problem was but it was a manufacturer issue so they couldn't fix it. I called AAA again yesterday afternoon and had it towed to Nissan. Well we got a call from them this morning saying that the 2 parts that were bad were BOTH recalled items and so they are fixing it for FREE! When does that ever happen?! Talk about a huge praise...

We are heading to New Orleans with our soccer team this weekend and I am really looking forward to it. Little Av is staying here with Jon's mom this time and Mia's going with us. We are staying an extra day and I've never been to New Orleans so I am excited about seeing a little bit of the town. Also a soccer parent bought us tickets to the Switchfoot/Third Day/Jars of Clay concert (as a coaches gift) which is tomorrow and I am so excited!

I know these are random, but here's a few pics of the girls playing at the park this morning...
