Averi's "Big Girl" Bed

So...I'm a little embarrassed to admit that Averi has still been sleeping in a crib until today. Why? Because she is a much different child than my overly cautious Mia. We had Mia in a twin bed at 20 months old. Yes, that's right! Because at the time we were preparing for Averi to be born and wanted to get the crib ready and get Mia used to a big bed. And of course Mia did great and never got out of her bed without calling for us first. We have been putting off converting Averi's bed for as long as possible. But she has recently slept in a regular bed in a hotel and napped at a friends house with no problem. So we decided she was ready.

As you can see she was super excited about it. These pictures were taken before her nap today. She couldn't wait to sleep in her "big girl" bed. She never got up, she went right to sleep, and just as we told her to do, she stayed in her bed until we came and got her up after her nap. So far, so good:)

And these were taken tonight after Mia "helped her make her bed beautiful". Or as I call it she "Miafied" it adding stuffed animals, blankets and even stickers:)

Too cute!

If it makes you feel any better, Ali's still in a crib - because she loves it! We're thinking we'll get her a BGB for Christmas.

Oh gosh - Sam is still in a crib too and although I have started thinking about making the transition, I'm in no rush.

As long as they still sleep comfortably, what's the problem?
(Although, he has jumped out twice in the last 3 or 4 months. We figure it's safer to risk that then risk him opening the front door and wandering out on the streets at night...)
