Update on My Dad

We FINALLY heard back from Mayo Clinic yesterday with my dad's results. The news was good and a nice surprise for the new year. His tests came back clear. The neurologist believes that he either did have some strange virus/disease that caused damage to his nervous system (causing the burning, tingling pain) and that whatever it was is now better and he is just dealing with the damage that it caused to his nervous system. Or that when the disc in his back ruptured last December the acid leaked and caused severe damage to his nerves. Either way, we are relieved that it is not Cancer, MS, Lupus, Leukemia or the other possibilities the doctor initially thought it could be. He will go to several weeks of nerve therapy where they try to reset his nervous system which may be painful, but definitely worth it if it helps to give him some relief. Thanks for all your prayers. We are so relieved!!!
